Owing to its increasing popularity in the West, Palo Santo has become an endangered species. As a result, a lot of the stock you find in Europe and the US is not Palo Santo but normal wood that has been saturated in a blend of essential oils - this affects how the incense burns and, of course, its impact on the energy of the space. Our Palo Santo is sustainably sourced from a forest outside Cusco, which is managed and fully certified by SERFOR, Peru’s ministry of agriculture and irrigation.
